It reads the problem from your screen

When the screen changes, the Problem card updates and says what changed. If the screen was wrong, choose Keep previous.

It hears the question and shows what to say

Each follow-up and clarification is numbered under its problem, with a line to say while the full answer is prepared.

A change said out loud is added

When the interviewer adds a condition by voice, it goes into the Problem card and the answer is redone, with nothing new on screen.

When the interviewer asks a new question out loud while the screen still shows the old one, a new problem opens from the call.

What is built in

Choose the part of the screen it reads

Select area shows the exact pixels captured, and only that area is read until you choose Use full screen.

Pause everything, or only the screen

Pause stops screen reading and audio, Pause screen stops only the screen, and neither changes what your call app shares.

Hide the window at once

Hide removes the window at once; the same shortcut brings it back.

How is Unbuilt different from other AI assistants?

Unbuilt follows your screen and conversation together, so its guidance can keep up when a question changes. It helps you organize an answer, saves the session when you end it, and lets you review the transcript and feedback afterward.

Is my data safe?

Your audio and shared-screen images are sent to the model service for live guidance. Your interview library syncs transcripts, questions, and answers to your signed-in account and, when secure storage is available, saves them locally. The cloud library excludes raw audio and screenshots. Pause stops new audio uploads and screen analysis. Safe diagnostics omit interview content; optional debug logs can contain transcripts. The website collects IP address and approximate location for analytics, retains those records indefinitely, limits them to Unbuilt administrators, and accepts deletion requests at contact@unbuilt.build.

Can the interviewer see Unbuilt when I share my screen?

No. Unbuilt is hidden from screen shares and recordings, and Hide removes the window at once.

How do I update Unbuilt?

From the app. When a new version is ready, choose Update and restart in Settings or at the bottom of Home; Unbuilt downloads and checks the update, then restarts. You only download from this page again when an update needs a new app, and the app links you here when it does.

Which Macs are supported?

macOS 13 Ventura or later, including Sonoma, Sequoia and Tahoe. One universal app runs natively on Apple silicon (M1 and later) and on Intel Macs. Unbuilt needs microphone and Screen & System Audio Recording permission, plus an internet connection. On first launch, allow it once in System Settings › Privacy & Security. Windows is not available yet.

Which languages does it support?

Most major languages. Each person is transcribed in the language they speak, even when the call switches languages, and answers follow the interview.

How do I get an invite code?

Purchasing is currently invite-only. Email contact@unbuilt.build to choose a plan; we’ll send payment instructions and your invite code. The same code unlocks the download and your interviews.
